The International Baccalaureate:
What is the IB program?
The International Baccalaureate is a rigorous program that allows students aged 16 and above to study six subjects in their final two years of secondary school. Three of these subjects are to be taken at a higher level and the remaining three subjects are to be taken at a standard level. The IB program helps students to keep their options open in terms of their tertiary education as they can maintain an in depth understanding of many subjects. It is the perfect choice for students who perform well across multiple areas of their academia and do not want to narrow down their subject choices too significantly before applying to university or college. The IB program focuses on academic excellence and aims to provide students with an education for the globalizing world. If you are considering the IB course, it is important to note that the IB course has some subject requirements, we explain this in further detail in our article here.
